Happy endings are our weakness. Even though they sound cheesy , simple love stories with happy endings can nevertheless be guilty pleasures. Hallmark movies are popular because they guarantee you happiness and hope.

Hallmark movies are so popular because of the following reasons;

Fun to watch

The stories are enjoyable to see since they are simple to understand. Because audiences don’t watch Hallmark movies expecting to see the best movie ever made, they can get away with having cliched stories with implausible relationships.

To escape their worries, people are more inclined to look for reliable, uncomplicated forms of amusement.

Family Movies

Most hallmark movies are family friendly. So there will not be any problem to watch them with your children in different age gaps.

Nostalgic

Holiday cheer and sentimentality are what drive the season, and Hallmark films provide both. Both new and old Hallmark films are likely to arouse viewers’ nostalgia because not much has changed about the franchise since its debut and every show tries to capture the spirit of Christmas.

Multitasking

Hallmark movies create a space where you can enjoy cooking, decorating, or other holiday-related activities while feeling cozy and in the mood for the TV.

Escaping the stress

At the end of the day, everyone has something they would want to forget. Without a doubt, a big part of Hallmark’s popularity is its ability to help people decompress. It’s a non-alcoholic nightcap.

Fear

Seldom do Hallmark and real life collide.

In life, fear of illness and death is an enduring fact. The only sick and dead persons in Hallmark movies have passed away a long time ago; you only see pictures of them when their loved ones are finally well enough to start a fresh happily-ever-after.

If we spend a few hours in that world rather than our own, there’s an immensely soothing feeling.

In the universe of Hallmark, evil doesn’t exist – at least not explicitly. There are no kidnappings of minors. No sexual assaults.

Not a single homicide. Who wouldn’t want to live in such world, Hallmark movie fans or not?

So even though most of Hallmark movies are predictable they are always loved by the audience.
